About Us
Mission Statement
Mission Volleyball is committed to providing young athletes with high-quality volleyball training in a climate that emphasizes inclusivity and mutual respect among players, and players and coaches.
Our Beliefs
At Mission we know that club culture matters. We believe that club volleyball should be a fun, positive experience and that players should feel supported and nurtured while they train, develop as athletes and work to achieve their volleyball goals. Mission believes that athletic excellence should not come at the cost of players’ enthusiasm for the game. All too often young athletes experience burnout and frustration in the club sport world. At Mission our goal is to create balance. This holistic approach is what makes Mission different from other volleyball clubs.
We truly are a club with a mission.
At Mission …
We believe in training to win.
We believe in building our players up.
We believe in growing our players’ love of volleyball.
We believe that respect is a two-way street.
We believe that successful and healthy athletes must be seen and valued as whole people.
Train to win. Create community. Love the game.
At Mission we train to win. Every practice has focus and purpose. Our lead trainer and coaches provide player-driven instruction by assessing athletes’ specific needs and challenges on a daily basis. This player-centered approach allows Mission to develop athletes’ individual skills while creating team cohesion. Mission will meet your player where she is and build her up from there. We also strongly encourage our athletes to set personal goals and to hold themselves accountable. Our staff is always willing to go the extra mile to help our athletes achieve their volleyball aspirations.
At Mission we create community. From day one our club culture lifts our athletes up, and our coaches send the message that every player is an asset to the team, and every player has a role. Through Big Sis, Little Sis mentoring, older players provide support and encouragement to younger, newer players, and themed practices and team bonding activities, both on and off the court, build camaraderie within individual teams and the club as a whole. It’s not unusual at tournaments to see Mission teams that are on break sitting along the sidelines of another Mission team’s game, supporting and cheering on our players. We are one team, one mission.
At Mission we love the game. And we want our players to grow in their love for it, too. High-quality training leads to athletic excellence and paves the way to success on the court. This personal growth and team achievement ignite a player’s passion for the sport. As a community we protect that passion by valuing our players, by respecting them and acknowledging their gifts, by lifting them up when they’re down, and by celebrating their successes. The positive relationships that we nurture at Mission foster feelings of being a part of something bigger than just volleyball – we are a Mission family. And we hope our players always look back on their time at Mission with fondness.
