Cassandra Martin
About ME:
Most Mission family members call me Coach Cass. I’m a Huntley resident and am a proud parent to two teen daughters (one in high school and one in college). I enjoy reading, cooking and traveling when I’m not working or coaching.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY:
I strongly believe in the long-term value of being part of a team. The ability to collaborate with others towards a shared goal and to persevere through challenges translates into success as a teammate, a student and as an employee. I am competitive and I love to win, but I find other successes with each practice, game or team interaction as well.
PLAYING EXPERIENCE:
I started playing club volleyball as a freshman in high school and continued playing in college at both Elgin Community College and University of Wisconsin Oshkosh as an OH. I continue playing in leagues now as my schedule permits.
COACHING HISTORY:
After college, I coached club for a few years before starting a family. I jumped back into the coaching role when Mission started and I’ve been here ever since.
