Rhyan Overhaug

Married to my husband with a 4-year- old daughter at home! 

When I am not on the court playing or coaching, I love to travel and stamp my passport, shop at thrift stores and get coffee at new places! I also love to spend time with my family and eat Mexican food! 

My coaching philosophy includes the importance of giving the sport your best effort and attitude. I believe if players give me their best, I will have more success coaching them. 

I played volleyball through my teen years in school, enjoying my libero position during my career. I played for multiple club seasons on the off season as well! 

School career: 2011-2017, Libero

Club Seasons: 2011-2017, Libero 

Adult League: 2024- Present 

I played club at Fusion Volleyball throughout high school (before it was Mission, in Marengo) and Sports Performance. 

Did multiple NIU camps and clinics, and took private trainings for my position. 

I have coached for many seasons of volleyball including several years volunteering through school and 2 seasons with Club Mission Volleyball. 

I like to specialize in sportsmanship, fundamentals and discipline. 

Defense and Serve Receive, as a Libero- I want to help the girls find their love for the game and the drive that keeps you going in tough matches. 

With an understanding that my players have families, commitments and lives outside of volleyball that I support just as much.
